Grassfed & Grass Finished Lamb
Nature Gully Farm sheep live outdoors year-round within secure (electric) fencing that protects them from coyotes and other predators. They are guarded by a livestock guardian dog, for added protection.
Protection matters — but so does freedom of movement, food choices, and forage diversity.
Our lambs and sheep are moved across fresh pasture, selecting what they feel they need and prefer. They are supplemented with minerals all year, and hay during the winter. They still prefer to graze, and even graze until the snow is deep, in addition to eating hay.
Nature Gully sheep are not confined to feedlots. They are not finished on grain. They grow at a natural speed, by eating grasses and forages, whether fresh or dried. Our lambs grow up in their family flock, move around daily, and choose sun, shade, or shelter as they please.
Low stress. Clean ground. Natural diet.
That combination supports higher Omega-3 levels and produces tender, yet mildly flavored meat.
